Nativity scenes in the Nativity scene, national competition for the village of Pesche

PEACHES - A school of crib art will start on an experimental basis in Pesche (Isernia), the town of Molise defined as 'crib in the crib' due to the particular morphology of the territory that houses the small village.

This is just one of the initiatives that will frame the national competition 'Presepi nel presepe', announced by the Municipality and financed by the Molise Region as part of 'Tourism is Culture'.

    The mayor Maria Antenucci and the regional councilor for tourism Vincenzo Cotugno presented the program of events that will entirely cover the Christmas period, from 8 December next to 8 January 2023. "I'm starting from the first positive data: for the competition we are receiving many adhesions, even from schools and associations - said Antenucci - Our village will be even more welcoming, in addition to the nativity scenes arranged along the characteristic route, visitors will find painting and photography exhibitions, itinerant markets, tastings of typical products and concerts ".

As for the school of Nativity art, Antenucci explained: "It will start with the pupils of the village school and will continue with the adults.

    From next year we plan to establish it on a permanent basis.

    We want to make our village and the whole of Molise more attractive.

These events help us to make our territory known by also entering national circuits. "

    Councilor Cotugno expressed great appreciation for the Christmas program and congratulated the many volunteers of the municipality already at work in the maze of the characteristic alleys of Pesche.
