All over the world, a new generation of artists is seizing classic (the brush), traditional (the loom), and even digital (social networks) tools to express themselves and face the art market. .
These six do it without subterfuge, preferring figuration to abstraction.
But whatever their medium, these thirty-somethings are most often inspired by their family history.
While some have experienced war or belong to marginalized communities, all nevertheless manage to give their work, which is intimate, a universal scope.
They accumulate awards (Antoine-Marin prize for Pauline Guerrier, Emerige scholarship for Dora Jeridi, Jean-François-Prat prize for Miryam Haddad…), interest gallery owners and panic collectors.
