Beyoncé announces "Renaissance" world tour: appearances in Cologne, Hamburg and Frankfurt

An exclusive appearance in Dubai recently brought her trouble. The concerts that Beyoncé is now announcing will be received more positively by her fans: the singer is touring in Europe and North America – but not in Berlin.

On the night of Monday German time, Beyoncé can break the record for the most Grammy awards for a single artist: She has been nominated nine times, so far she has won 28 Grammys – ahead of her is only the conductor Georg Solti, who died in 1997, at 31 prices.

In any case, the US singer already has plans for the time after the Grammys, which she made public this Wednesday: "Renaissance World Tour 2023" was the brief description of a post on Instagram, accompanied by a presumed tour poster motif that matches the look of their latest album »Renaissance«.

Their website offered a little more information: tour dates in North America and Europe have been announced so far.

The »Renaissance« tour is scheduled to start on May 10th in the Swedish capital Stockholm, with 15 further dates announced in European football stadiums until June 27th in Warsaw.

Beyoncé will also appear in Germany.

On June 15, the Rhein-Energie Stadium in Cologne is on the tour schedule, on June 21

the Hamburger Volksparkstadion and on June 24 the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt am Main.

In contrast to metropolises such as London, Paris or Amsterdam, Berlin is not on the list.

Beyoncé gave her first concert as a headliner after a four-year break on January 21 in Dubai.

She performed there at the gala for the opening of a hotel.

The performance was met with criticism, especially in the LGBTQ scene: homosexuality is illegal in the United Arab Emirates.

The »Renaissance« album is heavily influenced by queer dance music genres and has often been taken as a tribute to the scenes.

However, Beyoncé did not play any tracks from »Renaissance« at the performance in Dubai.

That will certainly be different on the tour named after the album.
