(ANSA) - CAGLIARI, FEBRUARY 15 - Life imprisonment and 4 months of daytime solitary confinement for Masih Shahid, the 31-year-old Pakistani found guilty by the Cagliari Assizes Court of the attempted murder of his ex-partner, Paola Piras, and of the premeditated murder of her son , the 19-year-old Mirko Farci, who intervened to defend her.
The sentence was handed down after 2 hours in the council chamber, with the defendant, confessed, and the victim of the brutal assault present in the courtroom.
The Court also decided on a provisional payment of 150,000 euros for Paola Piras.
The facts date back to 11 May 2021 when Shahid broke into the house of his then partner in Tortolì (Ogliastra).
