Clashes are expected in the Senate over the recognition of children's rights within the European Union - regardless of how they were conceived, whether born to parents of the same sex or adopted - in view of a European certificate of filiation.
The issue is at the center of a proposal for an EU regulation on parentage, being examined by the European Policies Commission of the Senate.
