(ANSA) - ROME, APRIL 13 - Russian President Vladimir Putin has personally approved the arrest of US journalist from the Wall Street Journal, Evan Gershkovich, on charges of espionage.
Bloomberg reports it citing people familiar with the situation.
The Russian president's approval of the move reflects the growing influence of the Kremlin's hardliners, the news agency claims, quoting sources covered by anonymity, who are pushing to accentuate the clash with Washington which they consider irreversible.
