(ANSA) - FLORENCE, 04 MAY - A train without passengers, which was going to the depot at the end of service, is diverted from the tracks in Florence, near the Santa Maria Novella station.
There were no injuries but repercussions on railway traffic with delays of up to 90 minutes.
According to what was explained by Fs, the accident took place at 12.30 in Santa Maria Novella: "The front wheels of an empty regional train which was returning to the depot at the end of the commercial service, while traveling at low speed and without passengers on board, left the railway station causing the train to stop".
The presence of the train, still explains Fs, "inhibits the use of some tracks on the entrance and exit route from the station, causing delays and changes to circulation in the Florentine hub.
Severe slowdowns of trains in the Florence railway junction continue in the afternoon due to delays.
