Orion the Cat is home to a curious explorer. His latest find, however, could become the most expensive toy of all time.
Cats are especially curious. They love to discover things and are always learning. Curiosity is even vital for velvet paws, because through their exploratory behavior they discover new food sources and safe places of retreat. Sometimes, however, they also discover other interesting things, as a TikTok video shows. In it you can see tomcat Orion, who is not only curious, but apparently also a little techie. The only problem: his spirit of discovery could be quite expensive for his mistress.

A thermostat hanging on the wall attracts the full attention of the black cat. In the clip, Orion stretches upwards to get to this interesting "thing". He keeps his nose very close to the exciting technology, which he also likes to test directly himself.
With his paws, he explores the rotation function of the thermostat. And something happens: the screen suddenly turns yellow. Orion straightens up even more. It is exciting for him to see what he can achieve with his paws as he turns up the temperature from 23 degrees to 24 degrees.

However, he does not seem to be satisfied with the new setting and quickly turns the temperature down again. The video reads: "So the cat has learned how to regulate the temperature. That's exactly what we needed." The clip of "malloryhascats" has now gone viral on TikTok. So far, more than 840,000 users have watched how the smart cat tries out the thermostat. And over 64,000 users gave a like.
