These CBS series will be canceled © CBS
The network station CBS parted with only a few series, thus demonstrating confidence in the existing program. Which cherished series will viewers have to do without in the 2023/24 season?
In the course of this year's Upfronts, CBS announced the end of three series, with the cancellation of "S.W.A.T." quickly revised. Another series had already had some time to prepare for their farewell.
NCIS: Los Angeles
On Sunday, May 14, "NCIS: Los Angeles" will bid farewell to screens forever with a double episode. As already reported in January, the network broadcaster CBS has decided to cancel the long-running crime series. By the end of its run, it will have reached a total of 322 episodes, having already passed the magical milestone of the 300th edition last year. Even though the procedural has repeatedly achieved impressive ratings over the past 14 seasons, there have also been sobering drops in viewership, which may have led to its cancellation. Linearly, an average of 4.3 million people tuned in to the past last season with a rating of 0.36 in the target group.
