ANSA and Antara, Indonesia's news agency, have concluded a collaboration agreement that provides for the possibility for partners to use their respective information services for editorial use and the opportunity to develop joint commercial offers to their customers - media, institutions and companies - in their respective countries.
The signing of the agreement took place virtually, in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy to Indonesia Benedetto Latteri, the Director for European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Widya Sadnovic and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Indonesian Embassy in Rome Lefianna Hartati Ferdinandus.
Ambassador Latteri expressed satisfaction with the agreement reached: "Today's agreement finally connects the information systems of our countries, significantly shortening their geographical distance, at least figuratively. The exchange of news between ANSA and ANTARA will ensure a more solid mutual knowledge between Italy and Indonesia, thus strengthening relations in all areas. I believe that the evolution of the relationship between Rome and Jakarta passes through a greater awareness in Italy of what Indonesia is and can become in the future, a country too often known merely as a splendid tourist destination, but which represents the fourth country in the world by population and the potential fourth global economy in the near future. The agreement between ANSA and ANTARA is a perfect example of people-to-people exchanges between Italy and Indonesia.
I believe that relations between our countries must be based precisely on these relationships, built daily on the excellent work done by our companies, academics and researchers who have been working in the archipelago for decades".
The Director for European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia Widya Sadnovic congratulated the cooperation and expressed hope for the further development of relations between the two countries. "As part of our needs for fast and accurate information, I believe this collaboration could be the bridge we need to strengthen relations between Indonesia and Italy," Sadnovic said.
The Director of Antara, Akhmad Munir, on behalf of the President Director Meidyatama SuryodiningratIl, said that "the collaboration will enrich the information provided by the ANTARA news agency and enrich people's knowledge about Italy. In this era of fast and easy-to-obtain information, collaboration between news agencies is important to provide accurate and reliable information and news." "The exchange of the respective news is essential for better coverage of what is happening in the two countries," said ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri. "The agreement will also be an opportunity to enter into commercial agreements capable of promoting the visibility of Italian companies in Indonesia and vice versa".
