Highlights: Accidents due to fog, around thirty cars involved: A1 closed between Piacenza and Parma. There are queues, emergency vehicles and the traffic police intervened. Fog banks also on the A22 between Verona and Modena, currently without closures. In recent days, a stretch of approximately 80 kilometers had been closed for three days in a row. The 118 sent several vehicles to the scene of the accidents near Alseno in the direction of Bologna, between km 80 and 85.

The fog splits Italy in two

: due to several accidents which occurred in the presence of fog on the A1 Milan-Naples, the section between Piacenza (from the junction for the A21 Turin-Piacenza-Brescia) and Parma towards Bologna.

The stations of Basso Lodigiano, Fiorenzuola and Fidenza are closed to entry in both directions. 



At least thirty vehicles were involved

in the series of accidents.

The emergency procedure has been triggered and the Piacenza-Parma section towards Bologna has been closed.

Autostrade per l'Italia, traffic police and emergency vehicles were on site.

There are at least two points where the accidents occurred near Alseno (province of Piacenza) in the direction of Bologna, between km 80 and 85. The 118 sent several vehicles to the scene from both Piacenza and Fidenza and the police also intervened of the fire from Piacenza and Fiorenzuola.

Several patrols were carried out by the traffic police.

    Fog banks also on the A22 between Verona and Modena, currently without closures.

In recent days, a stretch of approximately 80 kilometers had been closed for three days in a row.
