It is Korbinian Kohler's next coup: The busy entrepreneur takes over the Café Kreutzkamm. Kohler gave the house in a prime location on the lake a new concept and a new name.

Tegernsee – The traditional Café Kreutzkamm has been closed since the end of February. As reported, Elisabeth Kreutzkamm-Aumüller (52) decided with a heavy heart to give up the café in Tegernsee. She herself lives in Dresden and is the fifth generation to run the family business. This included three cafes: in Dresden, Munich and Tegernsee. She has now entrusted the location on Lake Tegernsee to a friend: “Korbinian Kohler and above all his wife Suse have a long-standing and intimate friendship with“ Eli ”Kreutzkamm. The two women have been familiar with each other since boarding school.

Korbinian Kohler, who owns the Hotel Bachmair Weissach and the Hotel Bussi Baby in Bad Wiessee, is the tenant of the house in a prime location. For him, this is a dream come true. For a long time, he had wanted to be present in Tegernsee, says Kohler: "We are very pleased that we got one of the best pieces here."

The Bachmair Weissach Clubhouse will be located on the Café Kreutzkamm

The Kreutzkamm family had extensively renovated the traditional house on the lake and had run it as their café since 2010. Four holiday apartments with a breathtaking view over Lake Tegernsee are included. Kohler also takes over these apartments - and has the café remodeled again. Coffee and cake will still be available in the future. "But that will be a subordinate field," says Kohler. He wants to create a casual, casual lunch restaurant with young, healthy cuisine. But it will also be open here in the evening. Cooking is done in the dining room. "You can see the chefs at work at the bar or just come in for a quick espresso," explains Kohler.

Bachmair Weissach Clubhouse will be called the café in the future and will round off the concept of Kohler's flagship, the Bachmair Weissach. But it shouldn't be a closed club, on the contrary. "I would prefer it if all Tegernseeers perceive this house as their club house," says Kohler. Above all, he wants to breathe life into the terrace with a dream view of the lake. “A couple can buy a bottle of rosé wine, sit on the lake with it and eat boiled mussels,” says Kohler.

It will also be open in the evening

After the conversion, there should be 150 seats inside, slightly more than the café had. The guest room will in future be divided into three sections and can be booked for events and celebrations of various sizes. The new clubhouse fits into Kohler's growing empire, which offers everything from the event arena to the Wallberghaus that organizers of festivities, conferences and meetings would like. "That rounds out our entire range," says Kohler. As always, he presses hard on the gas. The decision to rent the Tegernsee property from his girlfriend Eli was made last week. However, the renovation planning is already underway and Kohler is confident that it will be able to open in May.

The speed of construction and remodeling is Kohler's subject, sometimes he has rubbed himself into politics. In the future, the Gmunder would also like to sit at the council table, he is a candidate on the CSU list. After all, it is not enough to just talk smartly and moan, Kohler admits: "You have to roll up your sleeves and get involved and shape yourself locally."

Kohler prevailed against many interested parties

There was no shortage of people interested in taking over the café on Lake Tegernsee, as owner Kreutzkamm-Aumüller reports. Keeping the standard high and ensuring long-term use is very important to her. With the handover to Kohler, the café remains in the family. Kreutzkamm-Aumüller is convinced of his concept: "The people of Tegernsee can look forward to it, it will surely enrich their city."
