The works for the expansion of Bat Hefer (TAML 1017), which include 1,000 housing units in saturated construction and ground-level construction, and 230 units of sheltered housing, are underway. "D.
The expansion project is planned so that the new construction will integrate with the existing construction, and in addition the locality center will be renovated: a new youth building will be built, Road 5714 will be upgraded (including a bike path in the section along the locality), a new employment area will be built, an innovative high school will be built. On leadership and community, additional public spaces, sports and recreation areas will be established, including a new skate park, pump truck and more.

According to the head of the council, Dr. Galit Shaul: "The expansion of Bat Hefer is an opportunity for the young women of the Hefer Valley to stay in the valley and build their home there.
The expansion project will also greatly contribute to maintaining the demographic continuum. "
As part of the plan, which was approved by the state several years ago, about 600 units have so far been marketed by the Israel Land Authority, and another 400 units will be marketed later.
The units in the second phase will be marketed with the completion of the southern section of Road 444, from the connection to Road 5803 to the connection to Road 57. This is in order to reduce traffic loads on existing roads.
