A 44-year-old VW driver drove into a parked Mazda on Thursday around 5.40 p.m. on her way from Petershausen to Obermarbach.
Petershausen - Instead of taking care of the damage - estimated at 10,000 euros - the woman fled.
However, a witness had observed the incident and noted the license plate number of the VW so that the police could quickly locate the 44-year-old.
The officers quickly established why the accident occurred: The Petershauserin was badly drunk, an alcohol test was, according to the police, "not possible due to her condition".
The woman had to undergo a blood test and hand in her driver's license.
