Hamas was quick to take credit for the attack. Hamas spokesman Abd Al-Latif Al-Qanua said that "the heroic operation in the heart of the state of the Zionist entity reaffirms the ability of the Palestinian resistance to strike at the Zionist occupation and exact a price from it for its aggression in Jenin."
He added that "the operation coincided with the aggression on the Jenin refugee camp with its illusory goal of achieving security for its army and its herds of settlers. The Tel Aviv operation is the beginning of the response to the aggression in Jenin."
