After it was reported that the judges presiding over Netanyahu's trial summoned the parties to their chambers to inform the prosecution that "there are difficulties in establishing the offense of bribery" in Case 4000, an unprecedented wave of attacks and unbridled incitement against the judges began.

The attacks were carried out by those who are usually shocked to the core of their souls at any substantive criticism of the courts and gatekeepers – criticism they refer to as "incitement."

Ehud Barak gave the signal when he made harsh accusations against Dr. Avichai Mandelblit, claiming that the "sticks in the wheels and the jumping mines" in Case 4000 "were originally placed there by Mandelblit." Barak went so far as to claim that emissaries from Netanyahu's circle were monitoring the judges' families, and that the judges apparently gave in to the threats.

Haaretz launched a campaign against Netanyahu's judges, and its reporters lashed out at them in a truly savage manner. Raviv Drucker explained that the judges' move "reflected an almost frightening lack of understanding of the reality they live in." Mordechai Gilat wondered whether the justices had considered "improper extraneous considerations." Uri Misgav described the judges' actions as "deliberate sabotage of the defense service, or sluggishness and a complete lack of understanding of the public and media reality." Talia Sasson, a former senior official in the State Prosecutor's Office, explained that the judges' actions constitute "a new standard of discrimination in favor" and "contravene every rule of criminal law."

The incitement against the judges reached its peak when former State Prosecutor Moshe Lador ruled that the judges' announcement was nothing less than a "terror attack"! He attacked the judges on the grounds that they "did not show the appropriate and necessary independence" and said emphatically that "this is an unprecedented mishap that occurred in the court" and that "that's not how you manage a case." On the "Meet the Press" program, Lador continued to lash out at Netanyahu's judges, describing the judges' announcement as "perhaps the most serious mishap I have ever met in court." Lador stated emphatically that the judges, who have been sitting in this trial for three years, "did not hear any argument," "they did not read the file!"

Ben Caspit followed Lador and asked him, "Can the very fact that they carried out this incident, this attack, according to many, on the eve of Milchan's testimony, even be disruption?" As a reminder, obstruction of justice is a serious criminal offense. Once again, we see that all those who practice the "rule of law" protect the courts as long as they serve their purposes and carry out their directives. And if there are "deaf-hearted" judges who dare to deviate from the ranks and act contrary to what the "forces of light" instruct them to do, they will not hesitate to spill their blood on the streets of the city and accuse them of a variety of crazy accusations.

If the judges dare to acquit Netanyahu, I would not be surprised if former senior officials in the State Attorney's Office and the rule of law gang in the media call for the perpetrators to be prosecuted for obstruction of justice. However, if the judges convict Netanyahu and Netanyahu's supporters attack them, prepare for their holy outrage at the attack on the gatekeepers. On the sidelines, I would like to point out that I expected Supreme Court President Esther Hayut to come out against the attacks on the judicial system and fiercely defend the judges sitting in Netanyahu's cases. To my great surprise, Hayut made do with a lukewarm and comprehensive statement that "Israel's judges do their job faithfully, professionally and without fear," which she said in passing, during a tour of the courts in the Southern District.

Hayut did not condemn the attackers or even refer to Netanyahu's judges. Is this the same vitality that vigorously defended the judges, when the courts were criticized by right-wingers, and rushed to send a scathing letter to all of Israel's judges in response? It turns out that if the lashing out is not Moshe Lador and Talia Sasson, the flesh of the system, but David Amsalem or Yair Revivo, the judge's whistle barely makes a tiny chirp.
