A collection of about 200 works to tell the artistic "genius" of Maurits Cornelis Escher: it is the anthological exhibition "Escher", from December 18th to June 7th at the Salone degli Incanti in Trieste.
An installation with the most representative works of the Dutch artist - "loved by mathematicians but not only", underlined the curator, Federico Giudiceandrea - to which is added, on display for the first time in the world, a section dedicated to "I giorni of creation ", a nucleus of six woodcuts made between December 1925 and March 1926, which tells the first six days of the Creation of the world.
On display, again, the most iconic works of his production such as "hand with reflective sphere (1935), Constraint of union (1956), Metamorfosi II (1939) Day and night (1938) and the Emblemata series. The initiative - presented today in Trieste - is promoted in collaboration by the Municipality of Trieste, Arthemisia, Generali Valore Cultura and Fvg Promoturismo.
