And at the moment it is unclear whether Philip will be discharged in time to join the rest of the royal family for Christmas in Sandringham, the real country estate in Norfolk. However, the queen respected her routine: she normally went to a church near the estate, the same one where the royal family usually attends mass on Christmas morning. Buckingham Palace has published a holiday photo showing the Queen preparing Christmas sweets with her son, Prince Charles, grandson William and little George, respectively, the first, second and third heirs in line for the British throne .
