(ANSA) - BOLOGNA, JAN 9 - Life sentence for the exterrorist of the Nar Gilberto Cavallini, in the trial on the Stragedella station in Bologna on August 2, 1980. The sentence was ruled by the Assize Court, after six and a half hours of room diconsiglio.
"The sentence does not cancel the 85 dead and 200 injured, marende justice to us family members of the victims who have always had the perseverance to insist on these trials". It is the first comment of the relatives of the victims of the Bologna massacre, by voice of the vice-president Anna Pizzirana, to the sentence.
Defense Cavallini said that 40 years later it is inhuman to condemn a person: "No, it is not inhuman, because they have also condemned those of the Shoah after 70 years, not because it should be inhuman. It is a justice that is done to the families of the victims, for the our perseverance. And, if the procedural papers read, reread examined by this Court have not established it is a correct sentence, "said Pizzirani.
