The political negotiations between the Likud and the Blue and the National Emergency Government continued to make small progress even today (Thursday), after being stuck in the past. Blue and white continue to insist on the private government against the Likud and are unwilling to fold for two key demands - the Justice Department and the role of the Speaker of the Knesset.

A white-blue official told "Israel Today" that "we have gone very far to enter an emergency unity government because it is very much needed. Now we continue to meet our two main requirements: to hold the justice portfolio and choose the minister's identity, and insist on the role of the Speaker of the Knesset." In other words, white and blue still require that the position be retained for MK by blue and not transferred to Likud.

In blue and white, the Justice Minister wants them to be the faction's chairman, MK and advocate Avi Nissenkorn, but negotiators admit they are facing Likud difficulties.

"It is difficult for them to digest the image of Nissenkorn as Minister of Justice," explained the source in the negotiations. However, white-blue sources say that according to negotiations with the Likud, Nissankorn appears to be serving as Minister of Justice.

Meanwhile, Chairman Yair Lapid today attacked his former partner Blue and White Chairman Benny Gantz on Twitter while writing that "three issues that did not even come up in coalition negotiations: Corona, the small business, the fight against corruption." White-blue officials referred to things in a conversation with "Israel today and said": "That Torch will continue to tweet, we will continue to work for Israel."
