In the Chamber, not everyone wears it. Fico explains rules of engagement (ANSA)


Controversy over the safety distance in the Chamber after a League member had taken off his mask just before Giuseppe Conte began to speak for his communications on Phase 2.

The opposition protested because the prime minister did not wear the mask, but the President of the Chamber Roberto Fico recalled the decision of the group leaders according to which the safety distance from the government benches is respected and therefore you can not put the mask unlike decided in the case in which you speak from the benches of deputies.

 Without a mask you can intervene by speaking near the microphones installed in a point in the classroom where the safety distances can be respected, he then recalled.
    However, the President of the Chamber had to suspend the session for a few minutes and had it resumed after making sure that all the parliamentarians in the hemicycle wore the mask, including the League member. Then he gave the floor to Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte who was able to begin his speech.
