A hut for two, four or six people, feet in the sand and facing the sea. The lazy enclosure offered by the seaside resort of La Grande-Motte is the first stretch of beach for "static" use, organized for sunbathing respecting the post deconfinement sanitary rules. To access it, simply reserve a location on the city's website for free. But you have to act quickly, because the beach quickly sells out.
"It's very well organized, it's very nice," says Alain, a resident of La Grande-Motte. “It allows people to be quietly, safely on the beach, statically for those who like it. I think it's a very good initiative ”.
The initiative of the Hérault commune is unique in France. Most of the other reopened beaches are for exclusively “dynamic” use. It is forbidden to sit on pain of a fine of 135 € and each city sets its own rules.
