Alitalia: De Micheli, imminent construction of newco construction

(ANSA) - ROME, JUNE 06 - The start of the construction phase of the newco for the new Alitalia "is imminent". The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Paola De Micheli said it in an interview with ANSA, stating that, being a public company "there is a path envisaged by the relaunch decree which will take place according to the provisions of the law", which are 40-50 days of procedure . On management, the minister said, "we are working and we will decide together very soon".
    "We will keep the company as united as possible and the size of the company determines a very important need for human resources and therefore the indication" that the government will give to the newco for the new Alitalia "is that the enhancement of human resources as much as possible", he said De Micheli, specifying that the airline will have "over 100 aircraft" and human resources will be proportionate to this size.
