Facebook is working on an artificial intelligence tool that can summarize a news article by points, so that the user doesn't have to read the entire text.
According to reports from the American site BuzzFeed, it was the technical director of Facebook, Mike Schroepfer, at a company meeting at the end of the year, not open to the public, which was held last night.
The tool - writes the site explaining that he listened to the audio recording of the meeting - is called "TLDR", an acronym in English which means "too long, I have not read", and should also be used to provide a vocal summary of the news .
During the meeting Schroepfer also talked about other technologies for the future on which Facebook is engaged, including a universal translator, a social network in virtual reality called Horizon and populated by avatars, and a neural sensor capable of reading and translating into action the commands given with the mind.
