Onlookers therefore gathered massively on the bridges and on the surrounding sidewalks.
Many walkers have also settled on the forecourt of the town hall.
Once the police left, around 5:20 p.m., some ventured to return to the docks, before being dislodged again around 6 p.m.
On Friday, the prefecture announced the mobilization of 4,400 police officers for the weekend and the ban on alcohol consumption in several areas of the capital.
