A 16-year-old was killed in a dispute in Flensburg.
According to the police, there was an argument between young people on Good Friday on a viewing platform, in which the 16-year-old was seriously injured.
The perpetrator and other people involved have fled.
The crime occurred shortly after 6 p.m., according to the police, a 19-year-old suspect was arrested that night.
Victims cared for by first responders on site
The injured was initially treated by witnesses and taken to a hospital by rescue workers, but died there a short time later, the police said.
According to a report by the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher (shz), the young person was probably killed with blunt force on the head.
Witnesses initially said that the victim was stabbed.
However, the police were unable to confirm this.
The public prosecutor's office in Flensburg is now checking whether there is an urgent suspicion against the 19-year-old and an application is being made to issue a pre-trial detention order.
The homicide squad started the investigation on Friday evening.
