The Buenos Aires Minister of Health, Nicolás Kreplak, reported today that the first case of a person infected with the Delta variant of the coronavirus by community transmission was detected in the province of Buenos Aires, without contact with someone who has traveled abroad.
"We detected a case that is of a person without a travel connection. This person lives in Lanús but works and was infected in the City of Buenos Aires where he carries out his activities," the minister reported at a press conference this morning in La Plata, in which he indicated that "community transmission begins to occur."
