It took 18 months of work for its owner to transform this German bunker from World War II into a seasonal rental.

Seven beds, a bathroom, a dining room for 20 people, two lounges, all 400 m from the beach… Serge Colliou has been renting his German bunker dating from the Second World War for a year. "It is a historic place, but it is not a museum", explains the owner of the place straight away. Installed in the middle of one of the living rooms of his 1944 blockhouse in the town of Saint-Pabu in Brittany, the owner shows us around his unique home, which required 18 months of work to be converted. "We adapted, while retaining a certain spirit," explains Serge Colliou surrounded by submachine guns and German grenades of the time.

Located in the middle of a residential area, which was once the haunt of around thirty German Luftwaffe (Air Force) soldiers during World War II, this 400 m² bunker "L479" can accommodate up to 8 people. It is the perfect place to party with history buffs. On the budget side, you have to pay 460 euros per night on some rental platforms.
