A coach was killed by a lightning strike in a Bulgarian football stadium.
The accident occurred during a friendly match in the southern Bulgarian village of Lessitschowo, as reported by the television broadcaster bTV and the news agency BTA.
The 41-year-old coach of the Bulgarian football club Hebar (Pazardzhik), Ivan Rantschew, died on the spot.
He had participated in the game between two local teams as a player.
Three players were slightly injured in the lightning strike.
The stadium's lightning protection system is now to be checked.
