"The fans are not classical music lovers who are in religious silence in their place, so it is not easy to reopen the stadiums. We are in a favorable situation, but still not too much. There are positive signs, of epidemiological improvement but we are in a still attention phase ".
Interviewed by Radio Punto Nuovo, virologist Fabrizio Pregliasco, health director of the Galeazzi Institute, takes stock of the Covid situation and the reflections on the possible reopening of the stadiums to full capacity.
"The Italian approach, but also of the whole of Europe, aims to limit the spread, and reduce the possibility of contact - continues Pregliasco -. The trend of infections is downward, between vaccinations and safety measures. I hope that in March we will be able to reach 100% capacity in the stadiums, you can see the light ".
Pregliasco then underlines that "the virus will not go away, but the numerical size of the infections will decrease. The pandemic will end when it is no longer talked about, when we will tolerate the epidemic".
