Criminal police officers were on the move in northern Thuringia.
At a location they were supposed to search, a billy goat suddenly jumped into the back seat of their vehicle.
Investigators had already parked their car, but according to the police report, they were unable to lock it.
A sociable billy goat made himself comfortable in the back seat of the vehicle.
The fact that the seats were already occupied by a jacket and a protective vest obviously didn't interest the goat.
"Watch out, the buck likes to drive a car," said the owner of the buck, who watched the animal jump into the vehicle.
But the billy goat's expectations of going along were disappointed.
He was not allowed to accompany the investigators any further.
"Almost voluntarily," as the police describe it, the buck left the emergency vehicle again.
The police did not provide any information on the background and the exact location of the operation in Thuringia, citing ongoing investigations.
