It was last weekend's celebrity news: singer-actress Jennifer Lopez and actor Ben Affleck got married.
Pastor Ryan Wolfe has now spoken to People magazine about the ceremony in a small Las Vegas wedding chapel.
Accordingly, the two "had their own vows that they wanted to share with each other".
"It was an emotional moment that they shared," Wolfe said.
"You can definitely see the love they have for each other."
After a busy Saturday night with five weddings after 9 p.m., he was already cleaning up when the singer and actor suddenly pulled up in a car, Wolfe said.
For the ceremony, the two wanted “just a normal wedding”.
After the vows, Wolfe said he was able to "bless the couple very quickly and pray for them, literally like an eight-second prayer," according to the report.
Then "they swapped rings," Wolfe said.
"It was a beautiful wedding."
Lopez and Affleck initially made no official statement about the wedding, which only followed later.
The celebrity portal »TMZ«, for example, reported that the two had »run away« like two children.
And People reported the couple tied the knot in a "very, very small" ceremony.
Affleck proposed to Lopez in April.
Lopez has been married three times: to waiter Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, to dancer Cris Judd from 2001 to 2003, and most recently to singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014.
She has twins with him.
Affleck, in turn, was married to fellow actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018, and the couple have three children.
From »Bennifer« to »Againifer«
Affleck and Lopez have wanted to get married before.
The two were a couple between 2002 and 2004, when they were given the name »Bennifer«.
However, they postponed their wedding, which was planned for 2003 – and finally announced their separation in early 2004.
The couple then found each other again in mid-2021, and the media dubbed them "Againifer".
Earlier this year, Lopez called her "second chance" with Affleck a "beautiful love story."
