"World champion at hiding": DHL-Bote causes a stir with creative parcel delivery

If a customer is not at home, the parcel deliverers often have to get creative.

A DHL messenger tries to find a hiding place for the delivery - and involuntarily becomes a Twitter star.

Munich - There is hardly an industry that regularly has to take as much criticism as the parcel delivery services from DHL, DPD, Hermes and Co. Under constant time pressure, they try to deliver the numerous orders as quickly as possible and often find themselves in front of closed doors.

In addition to the default notices, which are so unpopular with their customers, the deliverers often have to find creative storage options for the shipments, especially if the neighbor does not want to or cannot accept the packages.

It doesn't matter whether it's a garden or a stairwell - many parcel deliverers are not lacking in creativity.

For the outside world, this often results in funny pictures that stay in your head.

DHL "hidden" package: Strange picture inspires Twitter

The situation was similar recently for the Twitter user "Julian", who captured a curious picture in front of an apartment door.

Two Amazon deliveries were, let's say, "creatively" placed directly in front of the door.

To camouflage the two packages and protect them from prying eyes from the neighbors, the prudent courier had placed the apartment's doormat over the deliveries.

"I almost didn't find my packages," smiled "Julian" to the photo and didn't forget to leave a humorous greeting to DHL and its deliverer: "Thanks to DHL for hiding it!" The curious building was rounded off by a nerdy one Smiley with a big grin and glasses.

"He's the world champion at hide and seek," said another user about the DHL messenger's actions.

This sight will remain in the memory of many for a long time.

DHL packages: Always trouble for waiting customers

Creative and apparently safe storage for deliveries to customers are not uncommon for the large parcel delivery companies. Only recently DHL delivered a package to a "safe" place - the delivery person chose the floor of a large stairwell for this.

Furthermore, questionable notifications sometimes cause annoyance for DHL and Co. customers: For example, a deliverer accused a waiting customer of intentionally missing the delivery date.
