"
TF1 must fully play its role as a channel that brings together French society, in particular young people, who use other modes of entertainment than television
", begins Rodolphe Belmer.
The new CEO of the TF1 group is the second candidate to present, this Wednesday morning, his project for the renewal of its DTT frequency.
"
To continue to carry out this project, terrestrial broadcasting, free of charge, throughout the metropolitan territory, is necessary for TF1
", he immediately specified.
Rodolphe Belmer aims above all to consolidate his young audience.
In 2022, TF1 achieved a 27% audience share among the 15-34 age group.
The chain intends to do better.
To achieve this, the CEO of the group wants to adapt TF1 to the new uses of the French in the audiovisual sector.
“
Our fellow citizens are increasingly using audiovisual media to watch the programs they like at the time they choose
”.
The channel therefore wants to offer more programs in digital or on demand.
"
What will have changed in 10 years is that TF1 will be both linear, free, ideally terrestrial to allow everyone to watch the programs they like," insists Rodolphe Belmer
.
All in all
“, which “
bring together all generations
