Israelis like to travel abroad. Every year, hundreds of thousands of Israelis visit Ben Gurion Airport and fly to a variety of destinations for vacations and trips overseas.

The Corona has shuffled the cards and it seems that the holiday abroad is receding. If it is not possible to travel abroad, the closest thing is to feel like abroad.

The world is a source of inspiration in a variety of fields - restaurants, cultural and leisure centers, fashion and more.

Israeli real estate also draws inspiration from abroad, with companies and entrepreneurs adopting trends they have seen in other countries and implementing them in Israel.

The peace agreement with the United Arab Emirates will surely make the glorious architecture that characterizes Dubai's skyscrapers another source of inspiration for tower designers in Israel.

Yossi Avrahami and Coral Company will establish the Venice Project in the lagoon of Eilat.

This is a magnificent and unique project, the first of its kind in the country, which combines adjacent parking to the yacht in some of the apartments.

The project was designed by Tito Oman Architects, inspired by the Italian city of Venice.

The project is located in the area of the hotels and the Ace Mall, and will be the only residential complex in this area.

It will be spread over 13 dunams and will include 4 5-6 storey buildings with about 115 housing units.

The mix includes 2-5 room apartments, penthouses and garden apartments with a yacht mooring.

The areas range from 50 to 150 square meters. There will also be a pool, gym, tenants' club and more. The starting price for the apartment is expected to be about NIS 1.7 million.

According to architect Sami Tito, owner of Tito-Oman Architects, "As Israel's main resort town, Eilat joins similar cities around the world such as Las Vegas, Macau and more, where unique concept projects have been established. Venice's colorfulness combined with its picturesqueness inspired its architectural design. The Venetian architect, together with lighting, color and materials, makes the Venice project a unique architectural icon in the Eilat desert landscape, and the first of its kind in the country. "

New York in Bat Yam

The use of gold in modern architecture has existed abroad for many years, mainly in income-producing real estate - offices and hotels.

The main source of inspiration for this is real estate agent Donald Trump.

The Trump Tower in Manhattan is a prime example, as is the tallest hotel in the world in Dubai (Burj Khalifa), and even a residential tower on the east side of Manhattan, which will feature 24-karat gold-plated bricks.

In recent years, the use of gold in local architecture in Israel has begun to gain momentum, especially as a combination of public buildings and income-producing real estate.

The Wai Box lighthouse project in the Park Hayam neighborhood in Bat Yam is a 47-story luxury tower, which includes 225 apartments for sale, 55 hotel rooms and 500 square meters for commercial use. The highlight is the exterior gold cladding, which makes the tower a real estate icon.

According to Yehuda Gorsed, CEO of Wei Box, “The golden color of the tower is achieved through unique printing technology on glass.

Despite the high costs involved, we have decided to implement it. "

The Avraham Tower, which will be built in the coming years in the heart of Bat Yam, where the old Bat Yamon Mall was located, and near the red line station of the light rail coming to Tel Aviv, will be a combination of an up-to-date New York slider, an architectural nickname for a thin and elegant tower. Dubai towers, which are characterized by glass cladding not only on the office and commercial floors, but also on the residential floors.

Migdal Avraham is named after the late Avraham (Avi) Mizrahi, one of the owners of Mizrahi and Sons. It was designed by architect Richard Philip Ginzburg in collaboration with VNP Architects, and will include 48 floors upon completion, including 38 residential floors and 10 floors to be divided. Between a boutique hotel, sheltered housing, offices and commerce.

It is located on a 10-dunam plot of 102,000 square meters, including an underground parking lot. According to Roni Mizrahi, chairman of the company, the concept of mixing the use of the tower is the next generation that characterizes many towers in New York, Dubai and other major cities.

Mizrahi sees the Avraham Tower as a unique structure with its elegant design, glass cladding and mixed uses.

"The tower will be suitable as a glove next to both luxury residences in 3,4, 5-room apartments, and as a business, leisure, tourism and leisure center."

These days, the design city of Israel - Design City - is being established in Ma'ale Adumim, with an investment of NIS 450 million.

This is a 110,000 square meter complex, which will include mainly home design stores. The unique complex is planned and designed by architect Shlomo Gartner, inspired by the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

Visitors will enjoy the experience of a magical trip in Venice: canals with wooden gondolas, a celestial ceiling with moving clouds, trees and street lighting, just like in the city of canals.

Design City will also build a unique dining complex - The PIATZA, which will include luxury restaurants, ice cream parlors, cafes, a hotel, an architect's lounge and more.

Among the chains that will open a branch in Design City: Nicoletti, electrical warehouses, Moda, Ziv Kitchens, Million Chairs, Aeroflex, Decori, Rags and many more.

Pnina Revach, CEO of Kess Group, which establishes Design City, reports that most of the commercial space in the store complex has already been leased to brands in the home design field. More than 100 brands have signed contracts to lease stores totaling about 40,000 square meters.

"Dozens of chains that did not exist in Jerusalem will open a branch and move to the new complex, which will attract consumers from all over the country," said Revach.

"Our vision includes bringing the best and most coveted home design brands in the world to Mishor Adumim. Those who want to design their home will find all the brands in one place. To date, many chains have avoided opening a branch in Jerusalem due to lack of suitable area. Now they have the option to open a branch in Design City."

Designed by Giorgio Armani, the chef is the Michelin star of Seagull Saturn, and the food is a winning combination of Asian style and Italian bakery.

Add the spectacular view of the sea and Tel Aviv and you will have one of the most intriguing complexes, with a classic European-style restaurant, a rugged New York mega bar and a ballroom.

Tzachi and Ido Hajaj, Giorgio Armani and Chef Shahaf Shabtai have officially opened POP & POPE, one of the most ambitious entertainment complexes in the country, which includes a restaurant, bar and event space with an area of 2,200 square meters on the 14th floor of the Four Towers in Tel The complex extends over the two towers and the bridge that connects them, in front of a stunning view to the west.

The restaurant, with its uniquely meticulous design down to the last detail under the direction of Armani Casa, combines the raw materials and traditional serving of Asian cuisine, in which Saturn specializes, with touches of Italian bakery including focaccia, brioche breads and desserts.

The entire space is decorated with original art and a combination of live music.

On the other side of the luxurious lounge is an urban bar that is designed in the opposite contrast to the restaurant.

The style is a rough New York that includes design with graffiti art, exposed concrete, terrace balconies with a view of the big city, designed by studio IM - Marco Sabra and Irit Snir Cohen, all accompanied by lots of sound, DJ performances and a secret VIP bar at the back.

The combination of the classic and the new allows you to eat dinner in a tie and then release it for a stormy drink and a view of the city from above.

The culinary concept also leads in the dishes served at the bar from the adjoining restaurant kitchen, like a burger wrapped in a rice leaf with cognac and chili.

The innovative concept gave birth to a complex that is unparalleled in Israel.

The unusual location joins a growing trend in the world to build luxury restaurants precisely at the height of luxury towers.

Tel Aviv has joined leading cities in the world, including New York, Shanghai, Bangkok, Berlin and Tokyo.

The complex has already become one of the main sites in the city that no tourist will give up.

A record sum of about NIS 30 million was invested in the complex in Israel, but it is not only intended for the upper thousands.

Jumbo drilling in Jerusalem

A jumbo drilling process, performed by a rock drilling machine called a jumbo drill, has become popular and effective in underground mining projects by drilling and blasting, especially in cases where rock hardness prevents the use of quarrying hammers during tunnel construction.

The main function of the jumbo in projects of this type is to drill the holes for the introduction of the explosive used to crush the rock.

Jumbo drilling is also used for metrology, water and electricity projects, construction of railway tracks and more.

The main reason is the high speed at which the drilling is carried out and especially the accuracy.

The jumbo machine allows you to drill a hole in the rock in a matter of seconds.

The type of jumbo machines used in the Route 16 project can drill three holes in parallel.

The drilling is perfectly adapted to dense areas such as small tunnels and manages to produce proven results, just like in the tunnels of Road 16, the new entrance road to Jerusalem from the west.

For the benefit of the project, the Shafir Fitzrotti Partnership has purchased a number of jumbo drill machines, which work simultaneously in the ten openings of the tunnels, 24 hours a day, six days a week, all in order to meet the project's tight schedules and finish the tunnel work as quickly as possible.

These days we are witnessing a trend of reducing the visual parts of the building and increasing the opaque areas.

Environmental awareness has encouraged many municipalities around the world to enact regulations that reduce the use of glass in facades because glass causes global warming in the external environment.

The Tel Aviv Municipality is also working to reduce the glass facades.

Extel in collaboration with the international company Wicona designs and develops a shell using three-dimensional software.

This way the building can be designed and facades that can be executed even before a final decision has been made.

An example of such a project is the JT tower on Mount Hotzvim in Jerusalem, which is being prepared by Yasky Moore Architects and rises to a height of 109 meters.

This is a complex engineering project, combining elements of stone glued to tin and glass on all facades of the building.

"Thanks to the extensive knowledge and experience of Vicona, we have been able to produce repetitive elements that combine stone and glass in the building, which makes it easier for the building's shell manufacturer, Stilcon, to carry out the work," says Dror Yatim, VP of Engineering at Extel. More in opaque elements, at the expense of the use of glass, thus reducing solar radiation on nearby streets. '

An innovative Marlog in Poleg

One of the newest Marlogs in the world is currently being established in the Poleg industrial area in Netanya by the Israel company, a supplier of medicines and medical equipment to public hospitals in Israel.

The Marlog, which will go into operation in a few months, covers about 20,000 square meters and next to it another autonomous 6-story building with an area of about 17,0000 square meters.

The latest robotic systems are built and installed by the international Austrian company Knapp, which specializes in advanced automated collection and storage systems.

Avi Buskila, CEO of Israel: "The establishment of the Advanced Logistics Center is part of Israel's overall vision to ensure that the supply chain of the medical system improves the quality of service and medical care and is advanced, cost-effective and efficient. "And government and public hospitals at the forefront."

In a large proportion of cases, the orders will be transmitted digitally using cabinets and smart shelving, directly from the inpatient wards.

The storekeepers will be able to collect medicines and medical equipment efficiently, accurately and quickly at a rate of about 600 collections per hour, without the need for the storekeeper to access the shelf.

The items are stored in special containers, which are part of an advanced shelving system, which will allow maximum utilization of the storage space and quickly provide the required inventory in the hospitals.

The medical equipment and medicines will arrive at the warehouses for a collection station automatically on conveyor belts.

The storekeeper will collect from his position the selected items to the destination carton and the carton will continue to move on the conveyors towards a sorter, from which the storekeepers will collect the cartons to the shipping plaza.

An advanced information system will enable efficient management of the Marlog.

At the same time, Sarel has developed and implemented in the hospitals computerized inventory management systems combining cabinets and smart scales, so that every item used is immediately updated in the system, and the order for a new item of the same type is made automatically, without wasting valuable medical staff.

"The future is already here, Israel is investing in the most advanced innovations and logistical solutions in the world, including flying gliders, to help the health system in Israel be one of the leaders in the Western world," Busquila concluded.
