Myths and legends praising its beauty, its unique bloom and its fragrant fragrance have been associated with daffodils. In ancient times, Greek mythology told of the shepherd Narcissus, who was cursed by the nymph Echo. After refusing her courtship, he was so hurt that he cursed him to fall in love with himself. He looked at his reflection from the egg and couldn't stop until he became a daffodil.

Levin Kipnis also chose Daffodil as the unique flower that agreed to come with the frogs to the egg, and to save the sick frog king with its unique scent. For this the king granted him his crown and made him king of the swamp.

The recent rains have made many of the fields more muddy, and daffodil blossoms paint the fields with thousands of white and yellow crowns. There are two habitats for daffodils in Israel, in the valleys and mountains, and their flowering dates are different. The current bloom that takes place in January-March is the marsh bloom. In the Galilee Development Authority, three major sites in the Galilee and the Golan are recommended.
