(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 15 - New absolute record of infections in Italy for Coronavirus: according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health, 8,804 cases were recorded in 24 hours (yesterday 7,332).
The deaths almost double in a single day from 43 to 83.
The swabs carried out are still at the absolute maximum, 162,932, more than 10,000 more than yesterday.
The total cases since the beginning of the epidemic are now 381,602, the victims 36,372.
Among the Regions with the most daily coronavirus infections, Lombardy has 2,067, followed by Campania with 1,127 and Piedmont with 1,033.
Veneto has 600, Lazio 594, Tuscany 581.
Patients in intensive care for Covid in Italy increase by 47 units in 24 hours, reaching 586. Hospitalizations in ordinary wards instead grow by 326 units, reaching the figure of 5,796.
The currently positive at the national level increase in 24 hours by 6,821 units, reaching 99,266.
Patients in home isolation are now 92,884, an increase of 6,448 units.
The healed and discharged are now 245,964, an increase of 1,899 people.
