Because a cat got stuck in a car, the Augsburg fire brigade had to disassemble the car to save it.
Passers-by discovered the animal in the predicament on Monday and alerted the police.
The officials then informed the owner of the car and asked permission to remove parts of the engine compartment.
The fire brigade was then allowed to take action.

However, the freed animal fled.
"We had to catch the cat before we could take her to the vet," a police spokeswoman said.
The vet found the cat only had minor injuries.
Meanwhile, the fire department was putting the car back together.
