Taste, the salon of taste excellence grows and goes Fortezza da Basso

Taste is back, the Pitti Immagine show dedicated to the excellence of taste and trends in contemporary food culture and the kitchen lifestyle: the event will take place from 26 to 28 March in Florence. The theme of the 2022 edition, the 15 / a, between presentations and special participations, is 'Zero waste: we do not waste food, we do not waste the environment'. (HANDLE)


Taste is back, the Pitti Immagine show dedicated to the excellence of taste and trends in contemporary food culture and the kitchen lifestyle: the event will take place from 26 to 28 March in Florence.

The theme of the 2022 edition, the 15 / a, between presentations and special participations, is 'Zero waste: we do not waste food, we do not waste the environment'.

There will be approximately 450 exhibiting companies, of which 120 new entrants: over 70 companies more than in the last edition of 2019. Among the novelties, the change of location: Taste grows and moves to the Fortezza da Basso, with an unprecedented exhibition path designed to accompany international buyers, specialized operators, the press and the public of enthusiasts "in the exploration of new, surprising and unexpected flavors".



"This edition is much more than a return in the presence - explains Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine -: it is a rethought and redesigned event starting from the opportunities offered by the spaces in the Fortezza da Basso, with a more relaxed and functional visit path , which at the same time guarantees an experience of the salon in total safety, as happened for the restart of our fashion appointments.



You will find many excellences and new discoveries, selected with careful scouting in the world of Italian gastronomy, with some small international episodes, but also special projects linked to productions that are aimed at niche markets.

'Zero Waste: we do not waste food, we do not waste the environment' will be the main theme and will constitute the red thread of talks and events, bringing attention to concrete experiences of sustainability linked both to the productive world and the environment, and to that of final consumers.

It will be our way to contribute to the protection of the territory and its products ".



Like the other Pitti Immagine salons, Taste also has its digital showcase through the Pitti Connect platform.

The companies participating in the show are already online at taste.pittimmagine.com, to give operators in the sector the opportunity to discover products and news in advance, plan the visit to the Fortezza and explore the main themes through editorial projects, focuses from read and gallery to browse.



Among the appointments and the protagonists of this edition a new section dedicated to gins, the Paolini Rings, editorial collaborations and FuoriDiTaste events in the city.
