Rescue workers on a small truck: rain flooded the section of the B23

After heavy rain and flooding, rescue workers in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district recovered a dead man from a small truck.
That said a police spokesman in the Bavarian Saulgrub of the dpa.
According to the spokesman, the water had collected in a lower section of federal highway 23 and had risen to a height of up to eight meters.
Two cars and the small truck stopped in the valley and were surrounded by rainwater.
Divers had already been deployed during the night to examine the flooded section of road.
Heavy rain in the Ammergau Alps flooded basements, garages and streets within a very short time on Thursday evening.
The fire brigades were in constant use locally.
The heavy rainfall fell primarily in and around the communities of Saulgrub, Bad Kohlgrub and Bad Bayersoien.
According to the information, fire brigades were called to more than 50 missions.
