It clogs.
As planned for this weekend back from the holidays, as the start of the new school year begins to take shape on September 2, the Augustians are returning home.
It is therefore no surprise that we find a lot of people on the roads of France at the moment, for this Saturday classified red by Bison smart on the whole country, both in the direction of departures and returns for the southeastern quarter of the country.
Thus, at noon, the traffic forecaster announces a peak of traffic jams of 716 km.
Bison smart reports very busy areas in the south of the country, especially towards the Spanish border and in the Rhône valley.
In comparison, for the busiest weekend of the summer, that of the great crossover between Julyists and Augustians, a maximum of 1082.5 km was recorded on August 6.
Already the day before, the traffic was very heavy, since Bison futé had anticipated difficulties in the direction of the returns which actually started around 10 am and continued until the beginning of the evening.
Sunday will be green in the direction of departures, with the exception of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and the Mediterranean arc, classified orange throughout the day.
Congestion will be more limited, but traffic will remain heavy in the direction of returns throughout the day, especially from Monday.
