(ANSA) - ROME, 03 SEPT - "These hands are shaking, due to the powerful drugs I am taking and for the moment I cannot play. But a new music invades my mind in an impetuous way and I do not lose a note. Now it is sweet, now crazy and incomprehensible, dreamy and reflective, metaphysical.

I can't wait to let you hear it! ".

Giovanni Allevi returns to talk on Facebook about the treatments for the multiple myeloma that hit him, but also about the desire to continue composing and playing.

In June, the 53-year-old musician announced on his social pages that he was ill and therefore forced to suspend his work commitments and start a therapy course.

On the first day of hospitalization he had started writing a piece for cello and orchestra, looking for which musical notes corresponded to the letters of the name 'myeloma', according to a mathematical procedure already used by JS Bach.

"A romantic melody of surprising beauty emerges!", He explained, supported by the idea that "the composition of the song would accompany the whole time of the therapy, as if it were a diary of emotions made only of notes, and when my battle was over, I would celebrate the victory over the disease by conducting 'Myeloma' in the theater ".

"We must not give up in the face of defeats, what matters, what really matters, what really opens the doors are the strength and passion with which one pursues one's dreams", he wrote a few days ago.
