(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, NOV 14 - The head of the CIA WilliamBurns met his Russian counterpart today in Ankara to allow Moscow to warn against the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine: a spokesman for the White House announced.
The National Security Council reported that the meeting in Turkey was in no way aimed at negotiating or discussing any solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
Kievera was informed in advance of the meeting.
Burns also had plans to raise the case of Americans detained in Russia, including female basketball star Brittney Griner.
