(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 03 - Journalists have an "enormous responsibility".
"A responsibility accentuated by the multiplication of sources of information offered by the revolution of the web. First of all, the journalistic profession is entrusted with the role of expression of free criticism according to the duties of loyalty and good faith. Journalists, in this context, are given the relevant task, for the purposes of the free formation of citizens' opinions, respect for the substantial truth of the facts".
This was written by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Order of Journalists.
