Will there be a reunion with "The Nanny" soon? © Sony TV/CBS
It's been 30 years since the sitcom "The Nanny" started in the USA. Could there perhaps be a kind of reunion or even a revival for the round anniversary? Fran Drescher stimulates speculation.
"She sold wedding dresses and was very sophisticated..." On November 3, 1993, the series "The Nanny" went on air for the first time in the USA. So soon she will celebrate her 30th birthday. Could there possibly be some kind of reunion with the cast of the series on this occasion? Fran Drescher spoke to "The Julie Mason Show" on SiriusXM (via Entertainment Weekly) about rough plans for something like this. However, the current WGA writers' strike could throw a spanner in the works or delay it.
"Before the strike, we had conversations with Sony, our parent company, to see if it would be something funny and exciting where fans would tune in. Hopefully the strike will be over soon, a deal with the Writers Guild and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers can be reached, and we can discuss again what we want from 'The Nanny' reunion."
