A 56-year-old man died Wednesday in Strasbourg in the fire of an apartment that also caused five light injuries, we learned from the firefighters.

The fire broke out in the late afternoon on the second floor of the building, located south of the Neudorf district, according to a statement from the Bas-Rhin departmental fire and rescue service (Sdis), which did not specify the causes of the disaster.
Five wounded treated
"The human toll reports a 56-year-old man discovered in cardioventilatory arrest, declared dead, (...) and five injured people taken care of by the firefighters and the Samu, "according to the same source.
The fire was extinguished by means of a water hose, the SDIS said. Thirty-seven firefighters were mobilized on the intervention, says France Bleu Alsace.
