The photographs of soldiers destroying a toy store or burning down a candy store do not add honor to us, and certainly not to the spirit of the IDF. Even photographs of despicable Hamas operatives, standing with their hands raised with only underwear on their bodies, are unnecessary.
Israel is fighting an extremely just war against unscrupulous and valuesless terrorists. And now, God forbid, we should not lose our values. We must not descend into the depths of their behavior. Therefore, even when one sees them in their downfall, one should not rejoice. According to various interpretations of the verse, precisely when they are on their way to defeat, one must behave in a serious and respectful manner, not joking and not overjoking. For he who rejoices in the fall of his enemies may even help him.
