The world of robots told in first person by those who invent, design and build robots: here is Dreambot, the Italian podcast entirely dedicated to robotics.

The first season is online from today, 5 episodes ranging from soft robotics to exoskeletons, passing through the difficulties of communicating the reality of a constantly growing technological sector.

Dreambot is a project created by DiScienza born to try to get to know a world made up not only of technologies - but also dreams and people - and discover the men and women who will guide us in this new era.

Each episode is a dialogue, led by Leonardo De Cosmo and Paolo De Gasperis, with some of the most interesting Italian researchers working in the many fields of robotics.

The guest of the first episode is Antonio Bicchi, Senior scientist of the Italian Institute of Technology (Iit), head of the Robotics group of the E. Piaggio Research Center of the University of Pisa, and president of I-Rim (Institute of Robotics and Intelligent Machines ).

December 10, 1954 can be considered the symbolic date in which the robot revolution kicks off: that day the US inventor George Charles Devol Jr. in fact filed the patent for Unimate, the first industrial programmable robot that will soon be mounted in chains produced by General Motors.

Starting from the scenarios imagined in Blade Runner, set in 2019, Bicchi begins a journey to understand what robotics means today and what awaits us in the coming years.

Every week on the Ansa Scienza e Tecnica channel an appointment with a new episode.
