Scientists unveil new planet in alpha centaur system • Scientists believe that life as we know it is not possible across the planet

A new discovery in the star system closest to Earth, the Alpha Centauri system.

It turns out that the Saturn Proxima Centauri, which is a red dwarf sun, is surrounded by another small planet beyond the two planets discovered around it so far.

This is a planet weighing a quarter of the Earth, the total mass of the star is double that of Mars, which revolves around the red dwarf in a range that does not allow water to hope in it in a liquid form and the temperature on it is probably 600 degrees Celsius.

The great interest of the Alpha Centauri constellation is its proximity to our solar system, the three suns in the system are about 4.3 light-years from Earth.

In addition, a planet was discovered as early as 2016 around the small sun, Proxima Centauri, which orbited it in a life-allowing field.

This is a rocky planet, which may have water in its vicinity and is very similar in size and basic properties to Earth's conditions.

A third large planet in the system orbits Proxima Centauri at a large distance and outside the living area that allows life.

Now a group of European scientists has discovered that this system contains not only the two stars discovered so far but also a small planet that orbits its sun every 5 days.

Portuguese researcher Joao Paría, who participated in the study and is one of the lead authors of the article on the discovery, says in relation to that "it turns out that the world close to us is fuller of stars than we thought. It is a close world full of things to explore."

The process of discovery of the current small star is done by measuring the deflection it has deflected by its weight the sun it revolves around.

That is, when two gravitational bodies revolve around each other, a common center of gravity is formed, so there are some changes in the position of the sun according to the point where the planet orbiting it is.

In fact in the case of the discovered small planet it pulls its sun back and forth at a rate of 40 inches per hour and its discovery shows how many of the exact instruments in the hands of mankind today allow for many new discoveries.

It is important to note that despite the system's proximity to Earth there is no technical possibility to reach these stars today but in a journey of tens of thousands of years so our ability today is to explore this world only by telescopes.

Also if there is life on the planet in the region sitting around Proxima Centauri then they are very different from Earth and this is because of the existing conditions in this solar system.
