A Hennessey Venom 1000 derived from the Mustang GT500 served to set an impressive new record in the singular challenge of carrying a Christmas tree on the roof of the car fastest.

On the Continental Tire Proving Grounds in Texas - during the traditional Christmas Tree Run event organized by the American tuner Hennessey - the car reached 308.99 km/h, well beyond the limits reached in previous editions of the unusual challenge.

As evidenced by the video available on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nGaTmqM3V4) the professional driver Spencer Geswein pushed the street legal Venom 1000 Mustang GT500 up to 192 mph (precisely 308.99 km /h) and breaking the record obtained in the 2021 edition with an Audi RS 6 Avant that had traveled with the fir tree on the roof by 9 miles.

The first record was achieved in 2017 with a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Widebody that reached 124 mph (280 km/h) and was only bettered in 2019 when a Jeep Trackhawk HPE1000 reached 181 mph (291.29 km/h) .

And last year, Hennessey surpassed 183 mph (294.51) in an Audi RS 6 Avant.
